Hello 2015

Hello Harriet is 3

Yes, you heard me. I am indeed writing my first blog post of the year in February, and I'm not even sorry ... Happy New Year to you! Today is a very exciting day for me {and not just because of *all* the pancakes} today marks three years of Hello Harriet!

It always seems crazy to think back to one, two and now three years ago at how different things used to be and how much my little business has grown. Some highlights from this past year include selling at Renegade and my first ever Crafty Fox markets, having duper times meeting internet friends IRL, finally getting round to making some kitty dresses, getting a couple of jammy magazine features and taking the steps to gain a better work life balance by getting a dedicated studio space ... which we've actually now decided to move out of, but I'll save that for another post!
It's easy to forget the little achievements I've made along the way, so this year I've decided to keep a book of my mini milestones to look back on next year.

I won't get too soppy on you all, but I am genuinely so thankful for each and every one of you who have supported me through these amazing three years. Whether you've bought something I've made, sent me a lovely message, followed me, shared my work or simply liked a photo. It all means so much and I'm sending out virtual high fives to you all. February is also the business~birthday month for some of my fellow boss ladies, Rachel and Zoe. I am constantly inspired by the little online community of creatives I have been lucky enough to be part of, and I truly believe the internet is the best thing ever. I still can't quite believe I've managed to build a career around cats and cute things, but I'm certainly not complaining.

I still have lots to learn, and I'm plotting for 2015 to be my best year yet {obvs.} Without trying to sound too mysterious, 'I have lots of exciting things planned' which include blog posts, courses, organising and getting batter at ... stuff. Probably my main goal for this next year of being a super boss lady, is to adopt the 'do it now, so my future self will thank me' approach with, like, everything. I am totally guilty of letting things build up and then not wanting to face the mountain I have made for myself *cough* emails *cough*. So with any luck next year I'll be a little better at some of these things! We'll see.

I'm still catching up from the madness that ensued over Christmas, but I have a very busy few weeks ahead of me. There are some new products in the pipeline, and we are moving out of our studio next week and into our new house in March so I will be spending my spare time until then packing boxes. Then soon after, we will have a {furry} new arrival in the Waller Gray household {!!!!!!!} So I will basically be using all my energy trying to contain my excitement and resist buying all manner of insane and hilarious cat accessories.

In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for some super prizes that will be up for grabs this weekend to celebrate Hello Harriet turning 3!
